Mechanic Monday Clinic (on a Wednesday)

Wednesday, October 28th at 6:30pm

Hosted by Eite Cycling

Clinic provided by KC Bike Law

KC Bike Law is a nationally recognized law firm representing the rights of injured cyclists, pedestrians and their families. We are avid cyclists and safe street advocates with over 50 years of legal experience combined.

Cycling Kansas City has enjoyed a long working relationship with KC Bike Law over the years. We've been very fortunate to have Laura, Lance, and Vance be on our board of directors. They have completely taken over the Ride Marshal program and have executed brilliantly over the years with local sponsored rides, tours, and races.

While streets are getting safer through revised bike lanes, unfortately, automobile drivers still resent cyclists on the roads and as such are inclined to make the roads unsafe for cyclists.

Laura will take time from her crazy schedule to provide a class on the rights of cyclists.

Kansas City Tour of BBQ

Well, its a wrap and it was one for the history books. We had a great time, awesome food, and excellent weather (well, maybe a few sprinkles here and there...).

Mark your calendars for next year and ride with us in September 2027.

Hi hard-working ride planners,

My sister and I rode the tandem recumbent on the half-slab ride. We found the interesting (new territory for us) route well marked and the folks running the tasty BBQ stops very nice to visit with. Lovely job! Kudos….we will be back. (Feedback from rider)

Operation Warrior Fit

Jonathan Milkovich is an Army Veteran and the Executive Director of the Operation Warrior Fit organization.

OWF empowers veterans, service members, and first responders to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle by providing free or significantly discounted entries to active events, races and competitions.

Jonathan reached out to Cycling KC to help his membership blend in with the vibrant KC Cycling community.

"Here is the part we are still trying to solve. Getting someone an entry is the easy half. The hard half is the weeks before the race, when they are training alone and nobody notices if they stop showing up. That is exactly where a club like yours changes the outcome."

So, Kansas City, let's welcome these veterans and first responders into our weekly rides and give them the support to keep pushing their limits!
