About this event
The “Ride the Rock” bike ride is being sponsored by Windsor Lodge #187 as a way to celebrate the 151 Anniversary of the lodge as well as to raise money for two worthy charities.
As you leave Pleasant Hill, MO on Saturday, June 29th you will be riding down the right-of-way of the former Rock Island Railroad. You will have the opportunity to visit the communities of Medford, Chilhowee and Leeton before ending up in Windsor. The total distance of the ride is 47 miles.
Once in Windsor, riders will have the opportunity to camp at Windsor’s Farrington Park. The park is located next to the trail, as the Farrington Park Lake was built by the Rock Island Railroad as a watering stop for its steam locomotives.
There will be free entertainment, food vendors and other activities planned for the riders and the non-riders as well. This year there will be beer for sale.
